This section will be divided into a number of pages as the Winter and Spring Track seasons progress:
I. Page I includes comments on the Early Winter Season, December, 2010 through January, 2011, with meets at the Bennett Center in Toms River and at The Lawrenceville School in Princeton.
II. Page II includes comments on the Late Winter Season, February into March, 2011, with meets at The Lawrenceville School, the New York City Armory, the Bennett Center in Toms River, the Bislet Track and Field Center in Oslo, Norway, and the Stade de France in Paris, France. (OK, we made-up the last two!)
III. Page III includes comments on the Early Spring Season, late March through most of April, 2011. It reviews the pre-season: a three-team scrimmage meet with Timber Creek, Haddon Heights and Cherokee High Schools at Timber Creek (Mar 16th); and the Adrenaline 5K road race in Haddonfield (Mar 19th), run unofficially for years by members of the distance squad. Following that, it reviews the team opener, the Burlington County Relays (Apr 2nd) at Maple Shade High School; the first dual meet against Eastern Regional High School (Apr 6th); the Moorestown Invitational (Apr 9th); and the Woodbury Relays (Apr 16th). Finally, it covers the second dual meet of the season against Lenape High School (Apr 20th).
IV. Page IV includes comments on the Late Spring Season -- late April and early May, 2011 -- when the weather and the season begin to heat up! It starts with the third dual meet of the season against Cherry Hill High School East (Apr 26th); the Penn Relays (Apr 29th - 30th); Richard's River Run (May 1st); and the fourth dual meet of the season against Washington Township (May 4th). Following that, it reviews the action at the South Jersey Invitational (May 5th) and the South Jersey Relays (May 7th), both at Buena High School. Finally, it covers the final dual meet of the season against Pennsauken (May 10th); and the Lenape Regional High School District Championships (May 12th).
V. Page V includes comments on the Early Championship Season -- mid-May, when everyone is primed to show their stuff! Unfortunately, frequent rain storms forced many changes to the original schedule. The Olympic Conference Championships were canceled but Cherokee competed at the Burlington County Championships (May 21st); the Carl Lewis Relay Invitational (May 23rd); and the Haddonfield Night of Distance and the Cherokee Invitational (May 25th).
VI. Page VI includes comments on the Late Championship Season, late May and early June, starting with the South Jersey Group IV (Sectional) Championships (May 27th and 28th) at Egg Harbor Township HS. Then the State Group IV Championships (June 3rd and 4th) and the State Meet of Champions (June 9th), both at Lombardi Field in Old Bridge, NJ. After that, there is a summary section on the team's season and accomplishments.
